staff was pleasant, braekfast included,
Stafff friendly, courteous and helpful. Room was clean and having a small fridge was an asset. as well as some dishes, Hotel was quiet.
Breakfast food was only adequate
Location next to Byward-market area is very nice. Restaurants are very close. Walking distance to Parlament. Quiet street.
Breakfast was little poor. Everything ran out and we had to wait for coffee, juice, bread, eggs. This happened both mornings we were there and we were there early. Rooms could have been bigger and have room for luggage. Even it says in the internet they have baby gribs if you ask them, they didn't have them available at all. Cleaning better would have been nice. We also had just 2 towels - no handtowels at all. Elevator got stuck several times.
The staff were very polite, profetionnel and helpful!! Thank you all!! The balcony view was awsome!!! Breakfest was fresh and very tasty!!
Very small parking!! But it did the job!!
Small building so not a lot of waiting for elevator. Complimentary breakfast (euro-style) in dining area. Nice balcony.
Curtains and blinds are white so not dark enough to sleep well. Noisy apartment building across the street. No air conditioning so wouldn't stay here during the summer. The wheels on the bed moved away from the wall a lot as it is not anchored.
I like this hotel has a mini kitchen (refrigerator, microwave, plates and bowls), and it has a balcony.
Pleasant atmosphere and convenient for shops, restaurants and town centre attractions. Room had all that was needed for self-catering and for making coffee and tea.
Lack of air conditioning could be a problem on hot days.
The balcony was an asset during the wonderful weather we had in Ottawa this may. The front desk staff were very helpful and welcoming. During our stay our TV stopped working and was replaced quickly. When we left, the man at the front desk helped us move our very heavy luggage to the taxi.
We did have a problem with things like coffee, plates and glasses not being replaced or replenished after the room was cleaned. But, again, the men on the front desk couldn't have been more helpful when we asked for more coffee.
It was great being able to walk to all the places we wanted to visit and not having to look for parking places.
The hotel is lovely, the location is excellent and the employees are very gentle.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was big, quiet, had a nice balcony and a kitchenette with microwave. It was a good place to work, including the use of wifi. The location of the hotel is perfect; Byward Market is a very nice area and close to Parliament Hill.
It was a cozy little place to stay, the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very pleasant, and the location was great - only a short walk to local attractions.
The building itself was a bit old and the room was quite small - it was very comfortable but not at the standard of a big hotel chain.
the staff was very pleasent and helpfull . our room was cleaned daily .
the hot breakfat for five dollars more was not what i would call a good breakfast . maybe it could have had regular baccon instead of dried up ham .
It is a perfect quiet little Inn with a convenient location close to everything in downtown Ottawa, indoor parking, and lovely breakfast included. The rooms were perfect: clean and well equipped with a kitchenette.
Parking spots, there are too little of them and the garage door is way too small, you can easily scratch your car when leaving the building. Also, on the first day, I asked for a wake-up call and never received it. The employee told me he thought my room number was another one and called three times to that room without answer...in this case, why he never went at that room and knocked the door to make sure the person would awake? I believe he should have done things differently to make sure he get the result he had to deliver.
